Rainbows

...... Monday's can sometimes be a bitch. It must be the first day back to work after the fun and free time of the weekend. I definitely work to live rather than live to work.
We decided to cook on the grill and eat out on the deck, enjoy the evening and each other, sharing the news of the day. It began to lightly sprinkle but since we were sitting under the umbrella we shrugged it off and laughed, deciding to unhurriedly finish our meal. The rain began to gradually increase its intensity but we still remained amazingly dry under the cover of the umbrella. We noticed it was actually raining harder near the front of the house and raining a little less where we were on the back of the deck. Eventually we started to feel the rain saturating our clothes so we scooted into the kitchen having managed to complete the meal. No big deal we laughed about it.
A rainbow began to form across the south east horizon from the sun shower we were experiencing. What a treasure! I guess it really does matter how you decide to look at the world. After a busy day back to work it was nice to just come home and relax, enjoy a meal out on the deck, get caught in the rain on purpose, and then have this incredible double rainbow form as if for our own entertainment and pleasure.

Lovely way to end the start of the week. Maybe every Monday should come with a rainbow.

Chica, What would have been even more surprising would have been a unicorn or leprechaun sitting at the end of the rainbow.

Neen, So very true.

Madame, I'm curious if England has a significant occurrence of rainbows with all the precipitation that falls?

We recently had a double rainbow that ended in the water only feet from our house. It was spectacular.

I know what you mean about Mondays. We spent last weekend in the White Mtns and it was painful to come home.....Monday morning was extremely difficult as I've become pretty proficient at wiping the slate clean over the weekend. Feels great until you're called upon to pay attention!
